How We Built Squish Cloud Together

Squish Cloud began as a shared vision between a mother and her 11-year-old son, Zac. In a world filled with fast-paced, high-stress games and overwhelming digital noise, we wanted to create something different — a gentle space that encourages calm, creativity, and stillness.

Our Story

Being different isn't always easy, but it's where the best ideas are born. We believe that when we play, learn, and embrace creativity together, something wonderful happens. This project was our new learning curve — adapting to a changing world shaped by AI, and we utilised the tools available to us to really delve in and bring this vision to life without the hassle of heavy technical coding.

Who Does What

Zac is our resident gamer and the creative mind behind the squishy designs and their sounds. As someone who is autistic, squishies have always been a source of comfort and calm for him — so who better to shape how they look and feel? Mom handles the content design, and together we work hard to find the best fit for every detail.

Why We Built This

Both of us are autistic — Zac has always known, and mom was recently recognised as autistic and OCD. It made perfect sense to create an app that steps away from the craziness and overstimulation of so many other apps out there. We wanted something simple, gentle, and a little bit of fun — a pocket of calm in a loud world.
